I purchased my Kindle last christmas. After having succesfully ued it for almost a year in november this year something happened to the screen and I can no longer see the text on the bottom half of my kindle.

I have tried to re-set as per kindle on-line support but am still not able to read the text.

    Can this be fixed?

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,

  3. I was given a Kindle Paperwhite for a present. It was bought in the UK. I am in South Africa. I have attempted to charge the Kindle. The amber light goes on whilst charging and a green light came on which supposedly shows it is fully charged. I then restarted the device and shows that it only has 57% battery. Please help. I had it on charge for the whole day yesterday as well as the day before. Originally when I put in on charge, it showed only 47% battery so it has charged slightly but I read that it should take about 3 hours (not 2 days).
