can you help me please, my Brother in law is in the uk at the moment and is seriously thinking about purchasing a Kindle while over here.
however he is concerned as to if he can download books back on Praslin the island he lives on in the seychelles. i am wondering if he downloads while over here the free books etc or if he registers the kindle in his sisters name and card details over here, if he rings the uk to ask her to down load a particular book would it download to his kindle in the seychelles, any advice would be appreciated ,as I am sure you can imagine books are his main source of entertainment over there being an avid reader, what a problem to have !!!!!

  2. The short answer is probably not – if he has internet access, he could turn wi-fi on with the Kindle and be emailed books (to his Kindle email address), or failing that, use Calibre on a computer to transfer books to the Kindle via USB. In the latter case, you could mail him a USB stick or CD with books on it.

Unless the 3G Whispernet service is made available in the Seychelles, these would be his only options.
